BETTAHEALTH is an innovative health center because the services offered and the humanist philosophy advocated by its leaders are the type to put the individual, the compatriot at the center of all interest. Beyond what is often done elsewhere, BETTAHEALTH presents itself as a model, a lasting solution for the field of health to regain its importance in the consciousness of the population. This article contains a description of the BETTAHEALTH Nkozoa infrastructure, a presentation of the community mobilization campaign, an announcement on current BETTAHEALTH offers and a summary description of the personnel active on the site.

Infrastructure

As indicated on its sign, the establishment of a BETTAHEALTH structure in Cameroon has received a pre-authorization by Order N°: 1365/ST/MINSANTE/SG/DRSPC/BCASS/CN01/CN02. BETTAHEALTH Nkozoa is designed on an R1 building secured by a barrier, a guard and electronic surveillance. The building is powered during load shedding by a 13,000 watt emergency generator housed next to a gigantic water tower for water reserve. The medical jewel which we are describing is located towards the western exit of the city of Yaoundé in the community of Nkozoa, a place called “Entrée Ministre”. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to drop by.
